
EUROPEAN CHARTER FOR RESEARCHERS
The European Charter for Researchers (hereinafter referred to as the “Charter for Researchers”) is a set of principles aimed at fostering attractive research careers to support excellence in scientific research and innovation across Europe. It focuses on the rights and responsibilities of researchers, employers, funders, and policymakers.

The Charter for Researchers contains 20 key principles.
They are classified within four pillars:
- ethics, integrity, gender and socio-cultural aspects, and open science;
- evaluation, recruitment, and career progression of researchers;
- working conditions and practices;
- research careers and talent development.
The Charter for Researchers is aimed at all researchers and the sectors in which research activities are conducted. i odpowiednich organizacji parasolowych:

- Research funders as well as researchers in the public and private sectors;
- Policymakers responsible for policies related to the Charter.
The Charter is aimed at researchers from all disciplines, including natural sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as social sciences and humanities. It covers all types of research, from pioneering, targeted, strategic, applied, to market-oriented studies.
